- Are you feeling anxious or overwhelmed?
- Struggling with transition, trauma or loss?
- Afraid you’ll never realize the dreams of your heart?
It’s painful feeling so exhausted and afraid every day, unsure how to find hope, joy, and passion about your future. You’re feeling lonely and isolated, longing for peace. But instead, you feel overwhelmed, constantly questioning yourself.
Imagine what it would be like to finally have your life
fit with the person you truly are inside.
I understand what it’s like to feel trapped by the same old questions and confusion. I’d like to support you through your struggle with transition, trauma, or loss.
Perhaps you are:
- struggling with recent or past trauma
- yearning to reconnect with your inner life
- confronting long-term job dissatisfaction
- grieving the loss of a loved one
- facing big changes in a relationship
- approaching the “empty nest” phase of life
Deep in your heart, you know if you don’t get support, you’ll keep circling back through the same old questions. You know that the same patterns will keep you feeling stuck–unless you do something differently.
I’m passionate about helping people move forward in life, love, or vocation, despite the overwhelming circumstances they face now or in the past. Therapy can help you to:
- release anxiety, trauma or painful memories
- calm yourself with your breath or simple mindfulness practices
- stop reacting out of fear and start responding with intention
- make space for the “dreams of your heart”—not just daily survival
- deepen connections with your creativity, spirituality, and your true inner voice
You might be skeptical. That’s understandable. Perhaps seeking counseling is a new experience for you. It can be overwhelming to think about telling your story. But imagine what it would be like to break through the fear, self-doubt, and “stuckness.”
Imagine what it would be like to finally have your life
fit with the person you truly are inside.

…So why did I decide to become a therapist, anyway?!!
In my various vocations–as therapist, mother, yoga student, pastor, daughter or friend–I’ve always believed that my role is to be compassionately present, even in the midst of suffering, struggle, and the beautiful but challenging complexity of being human. Psychotherapy is about becoming more fully present to your deepest and truest Self, your relationships, and your connection to the world.
Individuation: Becoming Who You Were Meant To Be
I feel called to help you discern how to make your life more congruent with who you truly are at the core of your being – what Carl Jung called “individuation.” Whether healing childhood wounds, transforming an important relationship, or making bold changes in the direction of your life—shedding these “old skins” can free up energy so you’re finally able to feel more like the person you’re meant to be.
I believe it’s possible to make such changes, because that kind of journey has been a part of my story as well. I remember a college retreat with a small group of friends. In one of our sessions, the group leader asked, “What is the reason you’re here in this life?” Immediately these words came to me: “To become myself.” My friends probably thought I was a little weird! At the time even I wasn’t 100% sure what I meant.
I believe the process of “becoming myself” has been my guiding “North Star” ever since. At times I’ve gotten off track. Sometimes it has seemed like I’m going in the wrong direction. I’ve taken “side roads” that have made my journey longer (though perhaps more interesting!). But trusting the process has been worth it. And every one of us, I believe, is called in some way to undertake this sacred journey of “becoming ourselves.”
It is my privilege to accompany my clients on their own sacred journeys. Sometimes we work together for a short time. For other clients, therapy might be a longer leg of their life journey. Whatever your particular path, I am committed to:
- Listening unconditionally
- Helping you to release anxiety, trauma, or painful patterns
- Teaching you skills to calm and center yourself
- Supporting you in making brave changes
- Helping you listen to the wise, “still, small voice” inside
- Offering new perspectives to broaden your options
- Helping you honor your imagination, your dreams, and your creative spirit
